New Billing Rates Effective August 3, 2009 New Student Tuition Rates (sign up before):  To keep tuition down Texas Academy of Music has incorporated automated credit/debit card billing through Bank of America which debits your Visa, Mastercard, or Discover each month for student tuition.  This can be done with any debit card with Visa, Mastercard, or Discover Card logo. 

Net 30 Billing*****NOTE:  Statement billing via check may be used on a per case basis, but is an additional $40 per month for this service per billing account, not per student session.

Automated billing is automatically billed to your credit card on the 1st day of each calendar month for the full tuition amount each month with regard to whichever regular or discounted rate you are eligible.  There are NO partial or per-lesson billings. 

There are no term contracts to sign at Texas Academy of Music, but adult students and parents/guardians of minor students are required to give a 30-day notice of intent to cancel before the next billing which is the first calendar day of each month.  If a 30-day cancellation notice is given, but overlaps after the next billing cycle, the tuition will still be charged for the next full month's tuition.

Missed Lessons:  when you register and choose your day and time of the week, this is your day and time.  There are absolutely no make-up lessons offered.  If you missed your time then you miss your lesson for that week.  We are sorry that we cannot be more flexible with this policy, but we not have over 210 students enrolled and cannot accommodate missed lesson times.  However, if a teacher is absent or out, you will be credited or allowed a make-up.  

Private Lesson Rate Schedule:

  • 30-Minute classes for Piano, Voice, Violin, Guitar, Saxophone, Trumpet, Clarinet, and Drums. (One 30-minute lesson each week at the school starting as early as 3 years of age to senior adult):  (Drama classes are group sessions and are only held in groups)
    • $140 Annual Registration Fee:  This includes all theory books for one calendar year.
    • Classes are billed at $30 per 30-minute session unless you have multiple family members enrolled for classes or are taking more than one instrument.  If this is the case you are eligible for the "multiple discount."
    • Any family with more than one family member enrolled will receive a 5-dollar per session discounted rate and or any student taking more than one instrument will receive a 5-dollar discount per session bringing the regular 30-dollar per session rate down to $25 per session. 
  • For example:  (Multi-Family Rate): if there is more than one family member wishing to take lessons in a particular household, then you will pay the $25 rate per 30-minute session rate.
  • For example:  (Multi-Instrument Rate)" if the student is enrolled for more than one instrument such as piano and violin or violin and guitar, then there will be a $25 rate per session as well for each instrument enrolled at 30 minutes each. 

5-Week Months:

  • All billing is based on a 4-week month.  In the event of a 5th lesson week month, this will be a skipped lesson allowing for a teacher preparation day. 

 

Total Owed for a Month of Lessons: 

1 instrument, no discount rate: 

  • One-Time Annual Registration Fee:  $140
  • (One Instrument, no multi-discount):  $30 per lesson $120 per month
    • First Month with registration fee $260 to start, then $120 each month after

 

1 Instrument, Multi-Family Discounted Rate:

  • One-Time Annual Registration Fee per Student: $140
  • (One Instrument per student, with Multi-Family Discount Rate up to 3 students): 
    • First Student:       $100 per month
    • Second Student:   $100 per month
    • Third Student:      $100 per month
  • First month with registration fee and up to 3 students in the same household $510 first month then $300 each month after.

(We only offer up to four students at a time on discounted rates.  If at anytime a family member drops and only one student is actively enrolled the tuition will go to the non-discounted rate)

 

2 or 3 Instrument, Discounted Rate:

  • One-Time Annual Registration Fee per student: $140
  • (Two or Three-Instruments per student): $100 per month for each instrument
  • First month with registration fee with three instruments $510 for the first month then $300 there after

 

Like Working In Groups?  (Piano, Choir, Violin, Guitar, Trumpet, Saxophone, Clarinet, Flute, Drums, and Percussion)
***Group Rates Do NOT apply to Drama classes!

All Group Lesson Rates 4-week month, but are 1 hour in length each week: 

    • $60 per month + $50 registration fee - Classes will be 1 hour in length each week predetermined by which one you enrolled.  All materials are provided to the student (no additional books to buy).
